Data We Collect

We collect personal data in the following ways:

Data You Give Us Directly

  • Email address when you join the waitlist or create an account
  • Name, contact details and communication preferences
  • Wardrobe and clothing data you upload or enter within the app
  • Style preferences, body measurements and lifestyle information you choose to share
  • Images you upload for wardrobe cataloguing or AI Twin Try-On
  • Wellness and health context you voluntarily share to improve personalisation — for example fabric sensitivities or lifestyle health factors (special category data, processed only with explicit consent)
  • Community content — looks, images or style posts you choose to share in the With Jacq community
  • Community engagement — looks you save, heart or interact with
  • Affirmations and confidence feature inputs, used solely to personalise your in-app experience
  • Messages you send us via contact forms or email
  • Payment information processed securely via our payment provider (we do not store card details)

Data We Collect Automatically

  • Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
  • Usage data (features accessed, time spent, interactions within the app)
  • Behavioural data — wardrobe usage patterns, outfit engagement, shopping and return behaviour, used to improve personalisation
  • IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 08)
  • Crash reports and performance diagnostics

Data From Third Parties

  • If you sign in using Apple ID or Google, we receive basic profile data (name, email) from those providers
  • Analytics providers who help us understand how our website and app are used
03

How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data only for the purposes described below:

  • To provide, operate and improve the With Jacq app and website
  • To deliver personalised outfit suggestions, wardrobe analysis and style recommendations
  • To power AI features including the AI Twin Try-On, smart shopping recommendations and style recreation
  • To apply behavioural intelligence — analysing how you interact with your wardrobe, clothing and shopping behaviour to improve the relevance of recommendations over time
  • To personalise wellness-informed recommendations where you have given explicit consent to share health context
  • To power the style community — enabling you to share, save and discover looks, and to use AI to show you how to recreate styles using what you already own
  • To deliver the affirmations and confidence feature, personalised to your in-app experience
  • To send you your waitlist confirmation and early access invitation
  • To communicate important updates, changes to the service or your account
  • To send marketing communications where you have given consent (you can opt out at any time)
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To detect, investigate and prevent fraud or misuse
  • To comply with our legal obligations
  • To conduct internal analytics and improve our AI models in an anonymised, aggregated form — you can opt out of this at any time

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising on behalf of third-party brands. Wellness and health context data is never included in any aggregated or shared dataset.

05

Sharing Your Data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers

We work with carefully selected third-party service providers who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements. These include cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics, customer support and communications providers. All are required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.

AI and Technology Partners

Core features of the With Jacq app — including outfit recommendations and the AI Twin Try-On — are powered by AI models. Where your images or wardrobe data are processed by AI systems, this is done under appropriate data processing agreements and your data is not used to train third-party models without your explicit consent.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose personal data where required to do so by law, court order, or in response to legitimate requests from law enforcement or regulatory authorities.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance of any such transfer and any change in privacy practices.

06

How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law.

  • Waitlist data — retained until you receive early access, or until 24 months after sign-up if the app has not launched, whichever comes first
  • Account data — retained for the duration of your account, plus up to 90 days after deletion to allow for account recovery
  • Wardrobe and image data — deleted within 30 days of account deletion upon request
  • Financial records — retained for 7 years as required by UK tax law
  • Communications — retained for up to 3 years unless you request earlier deletion

You may request deletion of your data at any time — see Section 07.

07

  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing
  • Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time

  • Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected
  • Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information

Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website to:

  • Essential cookies — required for the website to function (cannot be disabled)
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use our site (e.g. page views, session length). We use anonymised data only
  • Preference cookies — remember your choices such as cookie consent

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies that follow you across third-party websites. You can manage cookie preferences via the consent banner when you first visit our site, or by contacting us directly.

The With Jacq app may use device-level analytics (such as anonymised crash reporting) subject to your device's privacy settings and any in-app consent you provide.

09

International Transfers

With Jacq is based in the United Kingdom. As we build globally, your data may be processed in countries outside the UK and European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States.

Where we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

  • UK International Data Transfer Agreements (IDTAs)
  • EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
  • Transfers to countries with an adequacy decision from the UK or EU

We regularly review our international transfer mechanisms to ensure compliance with current UK and EU guidance.

As With Jacq expands into new regions — including Canada, Australia, the Middle East and beyond — this policy will be updated to reflect the applicable privacy laws in those markets. The version number and effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly, and material changes will be communicated to users directly. We are committed to meeting the highest applicable standard in every market we operate in.

10

Children's Privacy

With Jacq is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at info@withjacq.com and we will delete it promptly.

In the United States, we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

11

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our service evolves or as required by law. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have an account) and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of With Jacq after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
